Cathy Clayton, Executive Director of West Tennessee Legal Services (WTLS), returned to WTLS in 2015 after 27 years in private practice as a litigator where she volunteered her time and skills as a past board president for WTLS and as a pro bono attorney and mediator. As a seasoned attorney who started practicing law when electric typewriters were the cutting edge of technology, she has experienced firsthand the growing pains and embraced the even greater benefits technology provides for lawyers and the clients we serve. During her tenure and with her support, WTLS has received three TIG grants. Clayton currently chairs the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services (TALS) board, and was appointed by the Tennessee Supreme Court to serve on the Advisory Commission on the Rules of Practice and Procedure.
